Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few days, you have probably heard by now that the actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are engaged.
I am actually currently in London for the next week. It is my first time in the UK and it is an exciting time to be here!
We love the Royal Family over in America but it is nowhere near the devotion that the people of England have for them. Everyone is thrilled for the next big Royal wedding, which will reportedly be as early as this May!
The newly engaged couple just made their first public appearance together since the news broke, appearing in Nottingham on Friday morning to visit two of Prince Harry’s projects on HIV/AIDS and youth crime. Meghan and Harry greeted people on the street as they arrived, smiling, shaking hands, and taking selfies.

When Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their engagement, the blue dress she wore flew off the shelves immediately.
Naturally, women everywhere are dying to get their hands on the emerald green dress, crisp white coat, and nude strappy heels that Markle wore when the couple announced their engagement to the nation.
The stunning green dress that Meghan wore is, of course, sold out already. The brand behind the now infamous dress, Parosh, announced that they would be restocking the dress ASAP and would also rename it, “The Meghan.” The dress retails for £489.
Her tailored, white coat was from a Canadian company called The Label, which cost £559.56 and sold out within minutes of her public appearance as well.
She finished off her outfit with a pair of strappy, nude sandal heels from Aquazzura for £550 and accessorized with a pair of 18-karat yellow gold and opal earrings by Birks, priced at £850. In total, Markle’s exact engagement outfit would cost someone around £1,600 and that is not even including the exquisite engagement ring that Harry proposed with.
For the average woman, that is a lot to spend on one outfit but this look is one for the books and people are going crazy trying to get their hands on the pieces that Markle wore earlier this week. If you loved what Meghan wore, here are some affordable alternatives to recreate a similar look for less!
